Rep. Carson pays respect to Indiana’s 7th Congressional district and his grandmother with his statements around being raised by the Indianapolis village. The village here in Indianapolis, despite its serious problems (IMPD, dirty air, dirty water, etc.), is a diverse landscape that needs more publicity. It’s exciting to see him help re-define Indiana, a traditionally ‘red’ state, in a more progressive light.
