No thanks Karl, Barack does not need your unsolicited advice. Taking on Palin directly is a ”a match-up he’ll lose”, Rove claims. Rove is as partisan as it comes. He’s been a phenomanal asset to the GOP. But he’s just that. 100% GOP, despite any objectivity he claims. It’s a rather simple strategy. If you are not associated with Republican party, do the exact opposite this guy suggests.
I understand he’s not running against Sarah Palin. But as Mara Liason on today’s Morning Edition claims, we seem to be experiencing an exception to the old paradigm that V.P. picks don’t really matter in a presidential race. Obama must recognize things have changed. The McCain campaign seems to have recognized this. They’ve smartly revised their strategy of separate appearances by the v.p. and presidential candidate due to the large, enthusiastic crowds Palin is currently attracting.
