Obama’s wise words to McCain – A president needs to be able to multi-task

Smart move keeping the pressure up to hold these debates.  The American people, the whole system needs these debates.  Now, we have word that the McCain camp wants to push back the Biden-Palin v.p. debates. Sounds like desperation to me too.  Glad to see Obama acting like the leader he is.

ouch! John McCain’s campaign manager made almost $2 million from 2000-2002

From the NY Times:
Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations.
This is near insulting to sit here and listen to John claim to be a [...]

The best Palin critique comes from Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel

As Marvel comics would declare, ’nuff said, about Sarah Palin’s experience and readiness to lead.  In a recent interview, it just starts and never quits!

She doesn’t have any foreign policy credentials… You get a passport for the first time in your life last year? I mean, I don’t know what you can say. You can’t [...]

Hey Ball State, Republican Kaye Whitehead says your too stupid to vote!

From the Star Press, Republican Party chairman Kaye Whitehead states “she [is] concerned early voting on campus would encourage uninformed students to cast ballots.”  BSU Cardinals, are you really uninformed youth?  I think not!  This is clearly a fear of the youth/college vote that is traditionally in Obama’s court.
Voting is supposed to be easy.  Nowhere [...]

Sen. Lyndsey Graham – McCain healthcare and tax policy is ‘absolutely’ an extension of Bush

Whoops!  I bet Sen. Graham got 10 GOP demerits for this comment.  McCain sure doesn’t sound like change on healthcare and taxes.

ABC interview – Sarah Palin confused on entitlements

Via thinkprogress.org
GIBSON: Do you talk about entitlement reform? Is there money you can save in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid?
PALIN: I am sure that there are efficiencies that are going to be found in all of these agencies. I’m confident in that.
GIBSON: The agencies are not involved in entitlements. Basically, discretionary spending is 18 percent [...]

What does MSNBC mean when it states that getting polling info from Indiana has been tough this year?

Well into this post, MSNBC’s political director Chuck Todd states just that, “getting good polling info from Indiana has been difficult this year.”  Why is that?

Let Ball State host early voting!

Republican concerns over “security and staffing” at Ball State when the university president and student population are asking for it. Let the future vote!

Palin’s ignorance on the Bush Doctrine isn’t the point, it’s that she agrees with it.

Arguing the American citizen’s ignorance to U.S. foreign policy these days, while valid, is not relevant here in Sarah Palin’s first interview.  It’s that she agrees with George W. Bush’s 8 years of presidency.  Yes, the fact that she didn’t even have a basic understanding of the current sitting president’s vision of this country the [...]
