Exxon only spends 1 percent of its profits on alternative energy

From thinkprogress.org, ABC reports that only 1 % of the company’s staggering $41,000,000,000 (that’s billion, kids) dollar 2007 profit is actually spent developing energy alternatives.  the report stated that BP invested the most money, which was only 2.9 % of its $21,000,000,000 dollar annual profit.  Speaking to Exxon, the analyst interview by ABC stated,
